Tulip Tree Tall Ship Framed

I've turned this platter form Tulip Tree that came from Lost Withiel in Cornwall. I've carved holes through the wood in places and used a pyrography kit to add further detailing to create the picture of the tall ship.

The platter has been mounted in a frame and can be hung directly onto the wall. Specially made mounting pillars have been used to hold the platter proud of the frame slightly allowing light to shine through the holes and onto the white background behind.

The platter is approximately 330mm /13" in diameter and the frame 445mm / 17.5" square. The depth of the framed platter is approximately 50mm /2".
